Host a Bible Study
In Sierra Leone 50% of the population is Christian and 50% is Muslim. There are not religious conflicts, because Sierra Leoneans take pride in their national unity over anything else.
In 2021, GTGR renovated the main Christian Church in Tikonko. If you have interest in learning about their religious texts, songs or traditions, you can sit down with youth leaders and pastors from the church to learn more.
A bible study, both small and large group, can easily be facilitated if you want to learn how Christianity remains similar around the world, but also has unique traditions in Sierra Leone.
GTGR has a board member who served his LDS Mission in Sierra Leone. A tour of the Mormon temple can also be arranged for travelers who wish to do so. Lastly, GTGR employes community stakeholders who are Muslim. If you wish to learn about their temples or the call to prayer, or worship with someone, it can be arranged.
Service workers have the option to attend church or temple on Sunday’s, but it’s not required.
