In this 12 day package, participate in farm work with GTGR Mon-Fri, 32 hours/week. Evening and weekend activities included.
Responsibilities include: planting, weeding, compost creation, harvest, food processing, sales, and storage. Volunteers may plan gardening classes, or related agriculture education for locals
Package Includes: 1) Local staff to make your stay comfortable 2) Local accommodations - safe, electricity access 3) 2 hot meals daily 4) Public transportation to and from the farm 5) Laundry and cleaning service 6) Exploration with locals

In this 12 day package, a local guide will travel to outreach communities with you to perform a variety of service projects. A donation budget is prepared to support your projects. Contact our team to find out where we currently need help. Work schedule is Mon-Fri, 32 hours/week. Evening and weekend activities included.
Responsibilities include: Farm work with GTGR and local women’s groups, soccer tournaments at primary schools, story time and garden work at schools, fix a home or building with local help, or plan your own projects with our team.

Day 1 - Bo City exploration, Farm work with GTGR, introduce group to village leadership
Day 2 - Story time and garden work with school children, play soccer, dinner with local community
Day 3 - Farm work with women's group, host a village soccer tournament
Day 4 - Complete the village soccer tournament, additional service project voted by the group
Day 5 - Gola Rainforest tour and overnight stay
Day 6 - Tiwai Island tour and overnight stay
Day 7 - Tiwai Island boat tour, night tour, and overnight stay
Day 8 - Exit Island and drive to coast of Bureh Beach for overnight guesthouse
Day 9 - Banana Island boat rides, tours, overnight at guesthouse
Day 10 - Tokeh Beach, River No. 2 Beach, Western Area Peninsula Forrest Tour, overnight at riverside guesthouse
Day 11 - Freetown City exploration, Tacugama Chimp Sanctuary
Day 12 - Bunce Island historical tour, lunch and tour of Tasso Island, Departures

Day 5 - Banana Island half day, depart for Bo City for dinner at Day 1 Lounge
Day 6 - Bo City exploration, professional/ameteur soccer game, natural landscapes and culture tour
Day 7 - Drive to Tiwai Island for walking tour, boat tour, overnight on Island
Day 8 - Tiwai Island bird sighting tour, moonlight tour to spot monkeys and hippos, overnight on island
Day 9 - Gola Rainforest, day tour, boat tour, overnight accomodations
Day 10 - Gola Rainforest half-day exploration, return to Bo District to experience village life
Day 11 - Bureh Beach surfing lessons and exploration, Western Area Forest pt. 2- Pickett Hill hike
Day 12 - Stay on group’s favorite beach until departures
